Getting enrolled in a free technical vocational course will now be a breeze for scholars.
To provide a more convenient and hassle-free procedure in technical vocational course applications, the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has launched the online application for Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) scholarships.
TESDA noted that this will make scholarship application a 5 to 10-minute procedure.
Courses available include Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), Private Education Student Financial Assistance (PESFA) and Special Training for Employment Program (STEP).
TESDA Director General Guiling Mamondiong said there is no reason for one to be unable to avail of the free tech-voc training, especially now that applicants can apply for scholarships faster.
To apply, one should visit the website at www.tesda.gov.ph/Education or www.tesda.gov.ph/Barangay, or click the “Online Application sites” icon at the agency’s website.
Applicants will receive a confirmation via e-mail containing a Learner’s ID, or he/she may also click the “barangay kasanayan para sa kabuhayan at kapayapaan.”
Application forms must be sent to respective TESDA provincial offices.
Once the applicant has chosen the preferred technical vocational course, the application form will be forwarded to the Technological Institutions or privately-owned TVET provider.
The applicant will receive an email containing the date of training and venue of training institution.
