Former President and Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada on Monday announced he will seek a reelection in the 2019 polls.
Estrada made the statement when he went to Padre Burgos Elementary School in Altura, Sta. Mesa to cast his vote for the barangay elections, GMA News reporter Sandra Aguinaldo said in her report on News To Go.
The report said Estrada welcomes the plan of former Manila mayor Alfredo Lim to run for mayor.
If Estrada wins in 2019, he will be serving his third term.
The former chief executive also confirmed that his sons Senator Joseph Victor Ejercito and former senator Jinggoy Estrada will both run for the Senate in next year midterm polls, the report said.
Mayor Estrada arrived at the school past 10 a.m. and was accompanied by his daughter, Jerika.
