Malacañang Declares Dec. 26 & Jan. 2 As Special Holidays

The Malacañang Palace declared December 26, 2018, and January 2, 2019, as special non-working holidays after approved by President Duterte.

Nowadays, most Filipinos love long weekends and extended holiday vacations so they can spend more time with their families and loved ones.

The Office of the President approved the Proclamation 117 stating the days after Christmas and New Year as special non-working days.

December 26 and January 2 have been declared as special holidays to give full opportunity to the Filipino people to celebrate the holidays with their family, friends, and loved ones.

Regular Holidays such as Christmas Day (December 25, 2018) and New Year’s Day (January 1, 2018) fall on a Sunday.
