Tropical Storm Basyang (international name: Sanba) has maintained its intensity as it moves closer to Mindanao Monday morning.
In its 8 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said “Basyang” was located at 645 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur. It is expected to move west-northwest at 25 kilometers per hour.
“Basyang” has maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kilometers per hour.
Signal No. 2 is now hoisted over Surigao del Sur.

• Agusan del Norte
• Agusan del Sur
• Compostela Valley
• Davao Oriental
• Davao del Norte
• Misamis Oriental
• Misamis Occidental

“Basyang” is expected to hit Caraga region Tuesday morning.
Scattered to widespread moderate to heavy rains will prevail over the eastern section of Visayas and Mindanao, the state bureau said.

Sea travel is also risky over the seaboards of Northern Luzon, eastern seaboards of Central and Southern Luzon, Eastern Visayas and areas under a tropical cyclone warning signal.
