Eleven Filipinos are marked again on the recently released Forbes 2016 world billionaire list.
Shopping mall and real estate magnate Henry Sy, 91, with his family stay as the richest in the Philippines. Sy got the highest-ranking Filipino in the Forbes’ dollar billionaires club this year as he jumped from rank 73 to 71.
Even though Sy’s rank gone higher worldwide, his net worth decreased from $14.8 billion a year ago to only $13.3 billion this year.
The next is JG Summit Holdings’ John Gokongwei Jr. ranking 270 globally with wealth of $5.1 billion. However, Philippine Airlines and Asia Brewery’s Lucio Tan and family were known as the 3rd on the 380th place with their $4.4 billion.
The Forbes list singled out the richest people from at least 67 countries.
The 11 Filipino billionaires who achieved the list were centered by United States-based businessmen. Leading the list are Microsoft founder Bill Gates with $75.8 billion and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg who positioned 6th with his $46.7 billion.
The 19 year old Alexandra Andersen from Oslo, Norway was called the youngest world billionaire with $1.2 billion from her investments while 100-year-old David Rockefeller Sr. is the oldest billionaire within the link ranked 569 with $3 billion assets in the oil and banking industry.

The Filipino billionaires possess a total wealth of $42.75 billion or P2,021.65 trillion-a trillion short compared to Philippine government’s P3.002 trillion national budget for 2016.
