Six million worth of shabu seized in Negros Oriental

NEGROS ORIENTAL, Philippines (20 August 2019) – Personnel of Coast Guard Station (CGS) Negros Oriental and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Negros Oriental successfully confiscated P6.8 Million pesos worth of illegal drugs and apprehended four passengers onboard Landing Craft Tank Martin II of Maayo Shipping Lines at Port of Sibulan in Cebu yesterday, August 19.

CGS Negros Oriental and PDEA Negros Oriental conducted a joint operation and inspection of a certain vehicle suspectedly carrying contraband onboard Roll-on/Roll-off Vessel from Port of Santander, Cebu enroute to Port of Sibulan, Negros Oriental.

The team identified a vehicle with Plate No. KO 0754 and subsequently confiscated the vehicle where one kilo of shabu was found. They arrested the four persons onboard the said vehicle identified as Mr. Tim Bernardo, 25 years old and Ms Lesa Aganile, 23 years old, both residents of Bantayan, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental; Mr Elle Jude S. Alabanzas, a 23-year resident of Canlaon City, Negros Oriental; and Ms Kathleen Caryl Tulabing, a 23-year old resident of Boloc-Boloc, Sibulan, Negros Oriental.

The suspects and the confiscated items were brought to PDEA Negros Oriental Office for custody and for filing of appropriate charges.
