A self-proclaimed wedding coordinator who allegedly scammed at least 17 couples surrendered to Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan on Tuesday afternoon, June 21, 2022.
In his Facebook post, Chan said Greg Osain turned himself in less than an hour after the mayor sought the help of his followers to find the whereabouts of the suspect.
Osain, who reportedly could not be reached the day prior to the wedding day, told Chan that he is willing to face whatever charges that may be filed against him.
The mayor sought the help of his followers, through a social media post, after one of the suspect’s clients asked for his help to find Osain, who reportedly took their money but had not given updates on the progress of the wedding preparation.
The complainant also found out that everything was not yet arranged, from the church up to the venue.
Chan urged the 16 other alleged victims of Osain to come to his office, saying he is willing to assist in the settlement of the cases.
